Kayaking Tour of Salt River National Park and Ecological Preserve. (3 Hours - $35)

Paddle the tranquil, protected waters of Salt River National Park and enjoy the area's unique combination of ecological, historical and cultural highlights.  You will explore birding areas and mangrove groves, observe ancient Indian burial grounds, sunbathe, hike and swim on a pristine secluded beach and paddle to Columbus' landing site as his crew did 500 years ago.  The calm waters of Salt River make this a great kayaking experience for beginners and experts alike!  This tour has been featured in venues such as: The New York Times, Islands Magazine and The Discovery Channel.  Water and snack provided. (Tours depart Columbus Cove Marina at 9AM and 2PM, seven days a week.  Complimentary transportation provided from the Buccaneer Hotel every Monday and Thursday morning).

Moonlight Paddle - St. Croix Legends and Lore. (2 Hours -$30)

Something new at night!  Paddle the bioluminescent waters of Salt River by moonlight.  The high phosphorous content in the water makes the water light up in brilliant splashes of blue and white.  As we paddle along, relax as we share some of the island's most entertaining folk tales, ghost stories and pirate yarns.  Water and snack provided.  (Tours Depart Columbus Cove Marina at 6PM, seven days a week)

St. Croix Update #1 - August 5, 2002

American Airlines will be offering us some very attractive fares for travel to St Croix for the swims this year. They will be offering bulk fare or the lowest published fare, whichever is lower. Since we have swimmers from some 22 different states joining us in St Croix it is not possible to list all the fares which are not fixed. It has been mentioned that additional discounts may apply for those who follow the directions and purchase their tickets by August 15th 2002. Please follow the instructions below exactly:

American Airlines once again will offer discounted airfare for those, and their companions, traveling to St Croix for the 7th Annual St Croix Coral Reef Swims. American/AE agrees to provide, in compliance with applicable law round-trip, coach-class tickets at the following discounted fares: Bulk fares or lowest published fares (whichever is lower at time of ticketing) waiving rules and restrictions.

All federal, state, local taxes, and service fees will be the responsibility of the ticket user. Any applicable customs federal inspection fee will also be the responsibility of the ticket user.

To make reservations, please call American Airlines 1-800-237-7981, refer to starfile CRB PROMO MEDIA. Make your reservations in coach-class. Get a Record Locator from agent, and e-mail it to Gisela Yacosa at gisela.yacosa@aa.com or fax it to 305 -520-3198 together with Name(s) of passengers, your address, phone, fax, and email. Gisela will let you know the applicable fare. Then if you want to purchase the ticket(s) fax or email your credit card number and expiration date to Gisela. All ticket requests/record locators should be received by American Airlines office in Miami/Gisela at least twenty-one (21) days prior to departure. Important to receive the early discount you must be sure to pay for your tickets by August 15th, 2002.

Payment for tickets must be received in our office at least twenty-one (21) days prior to departure. If payment is not received, and tickets are not issued by this office, twenty-one (21) days before departure date, reservations will be automatically canceled. Any changes (including name changes) made to tickets after issuance, and refunds, are subject to One-hundred dollar ($100) administrative service fees.

No upgrades will be made by reservations or at the airport. Passengers may not pay the difference from Coach to First Class. Any unauthorized First Class reservation made purposely or by error will be canceled immediately.

Transportation will be valid from October 17, 2002 until November 3, 2002. Allotted tickets must be used during this validity period. Validity dates for promotional tickets will not be extended. (Certain blackout dates apply).

Passengers must originate and terminate in the American Airlines' city nearest to city of residence providing direct service. Direct service is travel on a published routing between two points, and any connection must be a standard connection for that route. Transportation on other carriers, ground transportation and overnight lodging, if required, will not be at the expense of American. Stopovers are not permitted, and tickets are not transferable or refundable. The tickets are further considered void and forfeited if sold for cash.
