Open Water Swimming Clinic Saturday July 8, 2000 10am to 2pm (Following Greenwich One Mile Swim) Location: Greenwich Point, Greenwich, CT
Clinicians: Marcia Cleveland, noted author (DOVER SOLO-Swimming the English Channel) Race Director, and top open water competitor. Member of the USMS Open Water Committee. Randy Nutt, Race Director for the Swim Around Key West and numerous open water swims. Open water trainer and competitor. Member of the USMS Open Water Committee. Tentative Schedule: 10am - noon. In water/On the beach. We will work on sightings, drills, speed sets, feedings, and good form. Noon- 2 pm: Lunch and dry land discussion. We will talk about training, race tactics, feedings, and good open water swims. Please bring a bathing suit, goggles, cap, towel, and a bag lunch. Entry Fee: $30 if postmarked by June 25th. $40 thereafter, and on clinic day. Sorry, no refunds. Make checks payable to "Aqua Moon." All participants need to have 2000 USMS Registration Cards. Right at the first light onto Sound Beach Avenue. 2 miles to the end (through village of Old Greenwich). Right onto Shore Road. Proceed to gatehouse to beach. Meet at 1st Concession Stand.
